Have you often wondered what's the difference in the shampoo found at your local retailer and the shampoo sold at the salon?
What's really in that bottle?
Retailers that are not salons are not legally allowed to sell salon brand products. They could be diluted or have been tampered with. Some of the largest brands in our industry are the most frequently diverted. These products may be expired and some have even been found to contain bacteria. Many have even been replaced with other products. Lotions and creams have been found in bottles trying to pass as a salon brand conditioner!
When you purchase at a drug store, there are no guarantees of authenticity or that you're actually getting the product you need for your hair type. I know the brands I have and they are always guaranteed. If you don't like it, bring it back.
Some of you may wonder why not just buy the drug store brand-
Professional products have higher concentrates of quality
active ingredients. Drug store brands may seem less expensive but are sometimes diluted. Would you wash a silk blouse in dish washing detergent?
